REM is a company owned and operated by design and application engineers. We specialize in the design and fabrication of paper, film and foil web handling and converting equipment especially related to slitter/rewinders and other web process machinery.
Robert E. Mastriani, our president left Arrow Converting in 1985 to establish REM Manufacturing. During his Arrow years which spanned 1963 to 1985 he had positions of design engineer, engineering manager and Vice President. From 1975 to 1978, Bob was Chief Engineer for Cameron Machine Co (Midland-Ross) before he returned to manage Arrow's engineering department.
John Mastriani, Bob's younger brother joined REM as VP of engineering in 1987 after receiving his engineering degree and also being trained under our father Bert Mastriani of Arrow.
Frank Pozar, our Vice President & General Manager left Arrow in 1986 to join Cameron Machine Co. as VP & General Manager (Somerset Technologies formerly Midland-Ross) and then joined REM in 1996. Frank ran the Cameron product line under Somerset Technologies.
As a historical note, Bert Mastriani who founded Arrow Converting Equipment, Inc. in 1961 was Chief Engineer from 1949 to 1961 for John Dusenbery Company where many of his original designs can be seen throughout the industry today.
The engineering and building of converting equipment is truly a family business spanning almost 60 years.
