REM's Model 4040 2-Drum (simplex) slitter / rewinder for boards, paper, nonwovens, fabrics and textiles. The machine shown will handle a 72" wide web, 2000 FPM, 8 PLI, 50" maximum rewind diameter and 72" maximum unwind diameter. It will accept TIDLAND Class I & Class II shear knife holders on the same machine. The 4040 is available with automatic knife positioning with easy access via a platform between the unwind stand and the splice. With it's slit spreading systems, the 4040 can slit down to 2" minimum.

An unloading system in the front of the machine, lowers the slit rolls to the floor and guards the nip when in the running position.

A 4520 floor pick up shaftless unwind lifts the 6000 pound roll off of the floor or a cart
