REM's New Model 3750S, Slitter / Rewinder has multiple, individual, automatic line and stripe guiding systems for products which require a series of slits registered to the printed lines or stripes on a common web. Conventionally in a slitting operation the web would be guided at the unwind prior to the printed webs where the slits need to be in register with a series of images , lines, or stripes which run in the web direction. To solve this problem ,the knives are automatically positioned to their respective locations or slit widths across the web and switched to the automatic guiding mode where they are individually slit and follow the printed stripe at a speed up to 500 FPM.
